Mahjong Escape is a wonderful puzzle game in the classic mahjong style, that takes you on an entertaining adventure back to 2000 BC, with the goal of collecting ancient treasures and gain wisdom.

There are two game modes: Classic, which lets you choose any from the 125 different layouts, and Dynasty Adventure mode, with an engaging mission.
This consists in making your way through eleven dynasties as you collect treasures and unlock 4000 years along 170 levels. To do so, you have to remove all the pieces from the board by connecting matching tiles with any of their sides free. Along the normal tiles, you will see special pieces like flowers, seasons, each one with special features. The game offers a dozen of background images to choose from, as well as different tilesets.

The interface shows a couple of helpful buttons: for example, to display only the free tiles, to give you hints, or shuffle tiles. The game is visually stunning, graphics have been superbly done, with wonderful illustrations and animations. Besides, you will be listening to relaxing oriental music as you play.

Mahjong Escape, beyond its relaxing style, requires concentration and memory skills, plus a bit of strategy to make the best choice when, for example, there are three free tiles. The trial version of Mahjong Escape can be tried out for only 30 minutes, little time actually for such a good game.

Pros

  • Excellent gameplay.
  • Beautiful graphics and animations.
  • Relaxing music.

Cons

  • None.

Great - but who wrote this music?! How can you review the music without the composer's info? I love this music but can't find who wrote it.
